Privacy policy
The short version: One Roll collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your rolls and settings stay on your device.
What stays on your device
Your rolls, results, settings and preferences are stored only on your phone. We do not receive them, and the app works without a network connection. Deleting the app deletes them. If you back up your phone, your phone’s own backup may include them, under Apple’s or Google’s terms.
Camera
The camera is used to scan a roll’s QR code, or, if you choose, to look at a scene (or a picture you pick from your library) so the app can suggest a keyword. The picture is analysed on your device. It is not saved and it is not sent anywhere.
Photo library
One Roll can add the Start Card and End Card pictures to your photo library, and it asks for add-only access to do that. It cannot read your library. When you choose a picture of a code to import a roll, the app reads only that one picture.
Writing
Titles, briefs, prompt words, hints, inspiration and closing notes are written by the model built into your phone, or by text bundled with the app when that model isn’t available. Nothing you type or generate is sent to us or to any AI service.
Notifications
Reminders and time-up alerts are scheduled on your device. There is no push-notification server and we do not know when or whether they are sent.
Sharing a roll
A shared link, QR code or text contains the roll itself. In a link like getoneroll.app/r#…, the part after the # is never sent to a web server by your browser, and the page that shows the roll reads it on your own device. What you share goes to the app or person you choose in the share sheet.
Apple Wallet
The only time the app contacts us is when you tap “Add to Wallet”. The app builds the pass on your device (the roll’s title, brief, settings, words and a picture) and sends it to our signing service, which signs it and sends it back. We do not store the pass or link it to a person. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as the time, your IP address and the size of the request, under its own policies. If you can’t reach the service, the app tells you and everything else keeps working.
Subscriptions
One Roll Pro is bought and managed through Apple or Google. We never see your name, your payment details or your account. The app asks the store whether you have a subscription and remembers the answer so it can work offline.
This website
This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or third-party fonts, scripts or embeds. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, as above.
Children
One Roll is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects no personal data, there is nothing to collect from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. If a change ever involves collecting data, we will say so clearly in the app first.
